How to Measure for Inside-Fit Blinds

Measure the inside of the window frame in three places for width: across the top, middle and bottom. This is because not all windows are built perfectly. Take the SMALLEST of the 3 measurements, this is the width that you will order.

Measure for height: at the left, middle and right side. Document the longest length of the three measurements.

Measure the depth of the window so you know how deep the blinds can be.
How to Measure for Outside Fit Blinds
When you're measuring for outside mount blinds, allow for enough wall space to accommodate the mount. Here’s how to get accurate measurements:

Measure the exact width (left to right) of the window frame or how wide you would like the blind to be.

Be sure to measure wide enough to cover the entire window and provide maximum light coverage.
